Prepare for your bank’s application process
Opening a corporate account is an important step for a new UAE business. Professional Connections Consultancies can help you organise your company information and coordinate the application process. Each bank reviews applications under its own requirements and decides whether to accept a customer; an introduction or a complete application does not guarantee an account.
We also assist with personal bank account enquiries. Available options and requirements depend on the bank and the applicant’s circumstances.
How we can help
We can discuss your company structure and intended activity, help organise information for a bank’s review, and coordinate an introduction or application where appropriate. If the bank asks for clarification or additional information, we can help you understand and coordinate the next steps. The bank may request information directly from owners or authorised representatives.
What information might the bank request?
Requirements differ by bank and business. You may be asked for company and licensing documents, ownership and beneficial ownership information, identification for relevant people, and an explanation of the business and expected account activity. The bank may request additional evidence, meetings or verification depending on its assessment. Confirm its current checklist before submitting documents.
How long will the review take?
Timelines depend on the bank, the structure and the information required. We can help you prepare for the process, but cannot promise an approval date or account opening. Ask the bank about its fees, minimum balances and other terms before selecting an account.
Need Some Clarity?
We’ve Got the Answers
Can a newly formed free-zone company apply?
A newly formed company can discuss its circumstances with a bank. The bank decides whether it accepts the application and which documents or checks it requires; a trade licence alone does not guarantee an account.
Can the application be completed while I am outside the UAE?
That depends on the bank’s policies and the particular application. Check whether the bank requires a meeting, an authorised signatory or other in-person verification before making arrangements.
Can my overseas adviser work with you?
We can discuss the company’s requirements with you and your appointed adviser, subject to agreeing the scope and the information needed. If UAE legal representation is required, we coordinate with our partner law firm as appropriate.
